Big news the ventilator came out this morning.
He will have a sort throat for a couple days
At least he can talk some
They stopped the constant pain meds but
he can get another one every 2 hours.

Just now catching up on here. So sorry to hear all the problems he has been having. I'm glad he is now doing better and prayers he continues to improve. Take care of yourself also my friend.

He is really trying to clean his lungs with the contraptions they gave him
Has a small oxygen in the nose instead of mask

Just seeing this now, Jill. I sure hope Tom continues to improve.

I left for lunch yesterday and when I came back cath was out and nose tube out.
He can have some food now but he isn't very hungry.

The nurse said they will close up the long cut in his stomach before he gets to go home.
Right now it has some staples in it. Part it open.

He is still seeing things that isn't there but nurse said it will clear.


I'm just thankful for all the prayers and good wishes.

The hallucinations could be from a build-up of ammonia in his blood.... with urine output not being what it should. Don't let them send him home with that... there IS a medicine... a liquid... that levels that out and stops the visions immediately. And it's just for the short term use.

I went through some of that with my first hubby... holy crap those hallucinations were really rough at times.
