I thought I would try to make a half-hearted effort to complete some of the 30 Days of Sketches presented by Christy's Beautiful Life on YouTube. This first one is from Creative Scrappers. The left side only. I just tossed the right side together. #30dscbl

Still working on my photo shoe box from 1993. These photos depict preparations for Mallory's Dad's third Western States 100. Paper mostly from BoBunny Take a Hike and a piece of Heidi Swap Jet Set. Crumb Cake base. And bonus points for OPENING a package of Word Fetti stickers from Making Memories dated 2005. Old photos call for old supplies. Ha ha Thanks for looking.

What does Western States 100 mean?
and definitely, old photos need old embellies. But who's counting years?

Sorry. It's a 100 mile endurance run from Squaw Valley to Auburn through the mountains and canyons. In 24 hours, hopefully.

Wow, that's ambitious!

That's a great layout.... I like the paper grouping on the left side... might have to try that on some layouts! Nice way to pull in some patterns but not overwhelm the layout.

Jen that Take a Hike side is fabulous. Love the pattern of the LO. That's some of my favorite paper. Right side is great too.

Here's another one for the #30dscbl Challenge. I struggle with combining these patterns and envy those of you who can do it successfully. I guess I have spent too many years with the Club Scrap style. Papers from Shimelle True Stories. I dropped back a year to 1992. Photos of Mallory being instructed by her Dad on how to use a Big Girl camera. It was obviously too heavy for her. Vietnam era clunky camera.

Great layouts! I've been looking at layouts lately with an eye towards 6x6 papers, and that first one with the triangles looks like a great way to use 6x6 papers. I'll need to try that one myself.

And yay for going back and working on old photos!

Good job Jen. I remember those cameras, I think I might still have one.

What great layouts Jen. Good job working on those older photos. I have a ton to work on, sigh, maybe some day.

Thanks, all. Yes, Julie. My Take a Hike papers are a 6x6 pad. Great layout for their use.
