Happy April Fools Day! I'm the fool since I couldn't come up with an idea that might appeal to the PAO masses until this afternoon. (Maybe) :lol. This card requires a bit of patience when folding this frame. But once you've done it once the next will come easy. Hopefully I've done most of the legwork and my pictorial tutorial will make sense.

What you'll need:

Scoring board. I used my full sized Martha Stewart
Double sided patterned paper cut to 4 X 4
Bone folder

Should you choose to accept this challenge follow these instructions:

First the card (Spring/Easter card for grandson)

Step one: Make a pencil tic mark at the center of each edge at 2 inches.
Step two: using your score board, score from one tic mark to the next at each corner.

Instructions continued:

Step three: I was able to score at 8" as shown and fold the tip inwards to the edge of the other fold. Or you can just eye it and fold that tip in on your own.

Step four: Fold all sides as shown and create a card with a surprise inside.

More samples to come. Hope you find this interesting and fun to try.

Now that I've got my taxes done I feel I can play! This is a crossover for my challenge plus Oxide Ink discussion. Even though I have tons of double sided paper to use I wanted to make one from scratch. I used a piece of Bristol for this one and colored it with the Oxide inks with small daubers. Then stamped the harlequin also in Oxide. The flowers inside were stamped on another second generation of the harlequin and then fussy cut. The flowers at the bottom were stamped in Memento Tuxedo and then water colored with Oxide. Oh...and added a few dots of Nuvo Crystal Glitter Drops....another new favorite. The collection is growing!

The Oxide inks are fun to play with, aren't they? Your second card looks great!

so I promptly made the little folded square and it sat for weeks. Finally I made it into a card! As you can see Jennifer and I are smitten with succulents,

Nancy, I'm envious of your skill stamping on that die cut with the partial cuts. Which first? Did you cut or stamp first??? The card is lovely. This challenge was too hard for me.

stamped first, that die lines up around the edges pretty good so it's easier than some (like some of those PTI ones that you really need to die cut first)
