I am now into day 5 of my third case of SHINGLES! I had them in 1983, 2004 and now 2017. This is the worst #%@&ing thing I have ever had in my life. I got into the doctor right away and I'm taking the anti-viral for it, and it stopped the rash at just a small patch. But it does absolutely nothing for the little devil that sits and jabs you with red hot pokers. I will be getting the shot after this bout is gone, but the doctor said I have such an active virus that the shot will probably just make the next case mild. Yay, me! And I can't even go play in my art room 'cause every time I move the little devil starts poking me.

Ok, end of rant, it'll stop soon, right?

Though I haven't had any serious repeat of shingles, I do know what you're talking about. My first bout was about 10 years ago. I know that needle-like pain all too well. I am so sorry you are going through this Rachelle.

So sorry you're having to deal with this Rachelle. Hopefully you'll be feeling better soon.

Oh Rachelle, I'm so sorry you have this. I've had family members and friends that have had it and told me how horrible the pain can be. Hopefully they caught it earliest enough that it will heal quickly.

Oh gosh, that's awful. And here I was feeling sorry for myself with this stupid head cold, I think it's finally on its way out.

My Mom suffered terribly with this and my neighbor got the shot and still ended up with shingles!
No fun.

Well, they told me you can't get the shot until you are 60 - seems dumb. And I'm not quite there yet,

Feeling much better and finally got out of the house today. Went to see Beauty and the Beast with mom! We both enjoyed it immensely. A tale as old as time............
