Santa Claus is coming to town

I have been hoarding Santa photos for years because I don't usually do single photo layouts. Something got under my skin this year and I decided I need to get these annual photos into the scrapbooks. I think it happened because I was inspired by Audrey Yeager's 12 Days of Holiday Scrapping. Something about her videos clicked for me. This first one was made with a cut file from Silhouette using the Ornamental kit from Club Scrap. It's actually not a Santa photo, although his gloves are visible, and no one in my brother's family can tell me what year this was taken. Oh, well. I'll figure it out some day. Thanks for looking. Hope I don't bore you too much with all these Santa layouts.

This second one was definitely inspired by Audrey Yeager. She provided the cut file for the Christmas tree. On her layout, she stitched the design with ribbon. I didn't have enough of any green ribbon to do the entire tree, so I used my hoarded high school embroidery floss to make my tree. Club Scrap Woven Strands cardstock as a base. This is Mallory in 1993. Yes, I have been procrastinating THAT long.

Hooray, Jenn! Doesn't it feel good to finally get those old photos out and turn them into beautiful LOs?

And the last one for tonight is from Retreat Bandanarama mash up with Dream in Color as the background for the cut file tree. A freebie cut file also inspired by one of Audrey's layouts. Whodathunk I would ever use DIC on a Christmas layout? Mallory 1992. Notice Santa has a peg leg. Forgive me if that is not PC, but that's how we always referred to this particular Santa to differentiate him from her other Santas. There were many.

More Santa layouts to come. I hope to finish them this weekend. Thanks for looking.

Great pages!

I know what you mean about single photo layouts but sometimes you just gotta.

Nice to see you back, Jen, and posting layouts. I find scrapping single isolated photos more freeing since they don't tie in with anything else.

Very nice Jen! I always struggle to find single photos when I feel like doing a simple page, but these are perfect.

Thanks for all your kind comments. Here's another one. Mallory on the cusp of actually being too old to sit on Santa's lap. But she must have been trying very hard to believe. 1995, she was seven. A mash up of various Club Scrap kits. Thanks for looking.

Is that stamping on the tree or just patterned paper? Cool layout!

Really cute, Jen. I like the different color scheme to go with her sweater.
