Wretched hurricane.
Keep Debi & Mike in your prayers, folks. The forecast is worsening for our coast line.

forecast sucks.... just plain sucks... so I'm packing things again....

won't be as bad as it could have been.... but still may get a foot of water in the house if we get 4 feet of flooding... so back to getting everything up off the floor....

of course they're not saying when this potential 4' of flooding will happen....

We're still hoping the north end of the island doesn't get flooded. All depends on wind direction. But I'm still prepared. Have a few more things to put up, and then I can rest.

Lots of flooding around our state. It's dark & dreary here this morning. Constant rain but only occasional winds. Not hearing much about the Cahrlotte area so I hope Christy is being spared. The rest of us are probably on pins & needles. The only good thing about hurricanes is that you do get time to prepare - as much as you can, anyway.

Everyone in this storm, please continue to check in!

We are rain, rain and rain. I went out to do some errands this morning and lots of stores closed and street signals not working due to power outages (though I can't figure why).

You know it's fairly bad as so far 3 of the 4 soccer games for the weekend have been canceled ;)

My main concern though is my German daughter is flying in tonight. All we keep going is just let the plane come, just let it land.

We're having heavy, continual rain and heavy wind. I keep having flickering electricity and pray it stays on. I just heard from my cousin who lives on Melbourne Beach, Fl. She has no electric but only had minimal damage. I'm so thankful she's ok.

This rain, wind and probably nerves are making me hungry. I keep snacking!

Christy, I hope there are no flight problems!
Our driveway is mostly under water and like Carol, all I want to do is eat!
Our cable went out for a couple of minutes this morning and we have a roof leak. Joel's up in the attic for the third time trying to route the water into a bucket. Because the bathroom wall is open to the studs, we found it was leaking - it's running down the copper lightning rod wire.

Going to go make some cards and eat an apple or something.

Glad you found the roof leak. Sorry it exists though.

Cardmaking was good therapy for me. I've packed that away. But I kept watercoloring supplies out so maybe I'll play with that.

We're starting to get a little rain now.

Checking in to see how everyone is doing....Our yard is flooding and a "river runs through it" but so far so good. Sheets of rain and strong winds - flickering lights so I'm charging my Ott Lite ;) . I finished working last night at 11pm to be able to play today. Hoping to post a pumpkin patch Amelia page later!
Stay safe all!
Find time each day to rejoice in the journey...

Hey there Marianne!
Lots and lots of flooding here in NC. I think we're al okay although I'm worried about Pam P. Her part of NC is getting hit pretty hard.

Thanks, Pam. I can see the still photos from wral but not the videos. The rain amounts for southern NC are bad!
