2016 October Card Sketch Challenge - Pop Up Panel Card

These cards are ALL so fantastic! I am super-terrible at sending cards, but I still may make one of these just for the fun of it.

One of the things that dawned on me was how the inside panels would be awesome for sending something like school photos. Maybe I'll make a card and surprise my mom with some (easily removable) school pics in there. She's always reminding me that I never send her updated pictures of the kids for her to put on her walls.

I made one that I folded 5.00 bills for each square for a birthday card for a friend. I forgot to photo it before I gave it to her. She loved it!

I finally got around to retake the pictures of the card

I didn't like the other one because it was so floppy

I wanted to do a Christmas Card so here it is. I dismantled a card I received years ago and reused the Christmas Tree and the pile of gifts on the inside. I wanted to keep the outside fairly simple but I did add enamel dots and the sequins to the tree. The tree is so old, I don't think enamel dots were around then.

The inside is odds and ends of stuff plus some Shimelle Christmas papers. I made it to try shaped panels on the insert and it does work. I had to use a corner rounder and hand cutting but those of you with all the fancy dies could make it really elaborate.

This is SO cool Marianne! I love that your fold out is done with brackets. Now did you do that with a punch? I need to blow it up so I can see the full details. Your recycling of an old tree and elements is amazing. It looks like new! Your comment about enamel dots cracked me up. Thanks for playing.
