Just got home from being gone all day to see on local news that the American River Parkway near Gold River is on fire. Hope you and Roy are safe!

I'm hoping this is mostly the usual hype and fascination with fire that our local TV stations have. But it is near Jen's neighborhood according to KCRA.

Must by hype. I haven't even heard much from the fire engines. I'm sure it's just the smoking homeless guys starting fires again. Sunday we had a horrifically smoky fire nearby. Never did find the source but it had me choking for hours. BAD.

Well that's the media for you! Relieved that's all it was. The aerial video made it look more serious.

They didn't mention it at all on our news - but we are kind of far away.

Wonder if Chris saw it? He and Sabrina went to South Shore yesterday - I forgot to tell him to wave to the Sacto gals (like he would )

It's been smokey out my way also for well over a week but starting to clear out since there's been a steady breeze for a few days. At least burning the rice fields in October is no longer legal! That was always the worst since we are nearly surrounded by rice crops.
