A couple more layouts for my Route 66 album. Now that I've got a few pages done for the start of the album I'll probably jump around and scrap what inspires me. I have decided that a few elements will tie all the pages together: white cardstock, touches of gold and flair. Other than that I'm digging in my stash to mix up some old product with the newer stuff; I especially like using a variety of embellishment textures that aren't all various forms of paper.

That Mayan looks very interesting. All the detail on the outside of the building is great. I don't blame Rebecca, looks like a fun side trip to see the sign.

Lovely pages, and that's a super idea using a few elements to tie it all together!

Love. And what Nancy said. Excellent way to tie it all together. I love how Shimelle uses little cameras to tie all her backpack travel album together.

These pages are fantastic Keitha! I too like the common theme with the fun embellishments. It flows beautifully and your narrative is fascinating as well.

Great pages. Now I want to take Route 66.

Is anyone besides me old enough to remember the TV show? That red Corvette caught the devil on some of those roads. Get your kicks on Route 66 with Todd and Buzz.

You're off to a great start!! Enjoying traveling along with you.

I need to start photographing the Arizona layouts. That's what keeps us motivated, right?!

Of course, I remember. That and 77 Sunset Strip were faves of mine. Kookie, Kookie, lend me your comb.

I'm old enough, but for some reason never watched the Route 66 TV show. Probably because Dad didn't, LOL. Been thinking of ordering it on DVD; now that I've done the drive I would love to see what it all looked like when the show was made.

I do remember Kookie and his comb, though!

Thanks Farley. There is so much fascinating history associated with Route 66 I can't help but include a few tidbits of information. I totally get why people do the drive more than once; I'd like to do it from Chicago to LA next time.
