Pam I'm gasping over your cascade of vellum flowers!!! If I could see the gold and shine I'd probably faint. Since this is my challenge I'm awarding another dash of triple points plus another round for originality. Love the scrumptious colors too.
Thanks for playing.

Re: 2016 June Card Sketch Challenge - Vellum
Tonight I found some time to look at my vellum stash. I pulled a 12x12 sheet from a DCWV project paper pad I've had for a few months. I mainly bought the pad for the vellum but there are some kraft papers in it with gold embellishments also.
Anyway I actually had my idea for this card in my head and I'm pleased with the results. This vellum is very heavy with tiny silver stars. I tried my best to photograph it so the silver showed. The flag stamp is an ancient one I've had for over 15 years. I colored it with Zig water color brushes, misted it lightly and stamped on heavy multi-medium paper. Then fussy cut it. The heart is an Avery Elle die and stars from a Stampin' Up set. The blue background paper with nautical knots is from a Carta Bella set called (I think) Ahoy There. Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

This is drop dead gorgeous. I love everything about it. The see-thru quality of the vellum. The Zig colored flag (hey, you stole my idea). The hearts. The stars. Love it all. This is my kind of card.

Hey, thank you all for your compliments on my last card. I'm getting addicted to vellum. Remember, vellum is great for LOs also, not just cards. Imagine a pretty tag in vellum with some journaling for your LO! Counts here and on your LOAD...just sayin'...bonus points for multiple posts of your art.

Here is my vellum card but you really can't tell it is vellum. The Happy Birthday is a very pale pink vellum from CS and then I ran it through with the EF before cutting the flower to put over the vellum.

A very quick card for today using white and dark green vellum on a kraft card stock base. Julie Ebersole dies for Ellen Hutson Essentials. Crazy mad for anything Julie.
