I'm learning to make them, Farley. I've always admired the cards that Cheryl Miller makes and wished I could do it. Finally I said "why not?" As for the shading, I was a painter first and then discovered playing with paper. I'm looking forward to picking the brush up again when I retire. In the meanwhile, I'm learning watercolor. Less messy and doesn't require smelly paint thinner.

I enjoyed the challenge. Rounding up supplies and compensating for my mistakes is what took so long.

Finally, got all my sewing stuff put away for awhile so I could get out the paper and ink again. I'm trying to keep up with the Christmas card challenges and decided to do this first. I love this technique, even though it's time consuming and I tend to make lots of mistakes. The first one I did had the truck in the middle and didn't leave room for the greeting so I changed it to the truck at the side. I'll figure something out for a greeting later. I used Broken China, Chipped Sapphire, Evergreen Bough, Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo and Pine Needles Distress inks.

All these cards are great.... I need to work back through a few of these challenges that I missed.

Keitha... I was thinking that card would be a great embellishment on a layout with the photos of the horses in Corolla!

You're absolutely right Debi - although I've already scrapped those photos, LOL. My sister is a horse lover; perhaps she'll get a hand-made birthday card this year.
