Very pretty Pam! Enjoy your time at the lake. I'll try this down at the beach.

Here are my attempts at this. It's been so many years since I did it, I had forgotten how all the planets and the paper, ink and stamps have to align to have a successful outcome. It didn't happen with the papers I tried. ;)

Whoo hoo! Marianne played! I like them, especially the first one with the blue sky.

The smooth side of the paper works best. You might want to try using regular white cardstock if the watercolor paper is giving you fits.

Marianne these are exquisite! I see nothing wrong with any of them.

Experimenting with different card stock is a good idea Pam. I was wondering how that Ranger Specialty Stamping paper might be. Ink glides on that paper. I WILL get to this project.

That watercolor paper, far right, didn't seem to have a smooth side. I used 4 different papers.

I fear this is too hard for me. Lovely cards, Marianne. And Pam.

It's really not hard once you get used to the ink applicator. You can also use a brayer to apply the ink.

Goodness they're beautiful! Even the one you're not happy with, Marianne.

Jen - I almost spit my frozen yogurt on the computer "too hard for me" indeed! I've seen your cards. You do not get a 'bye' (or is it 'by'?) on this one!

Seriously, Pam, I'm no good at this. My sister loves this technique and challenged me several years ago to give it a go. Epic fail!

Jen you & I are kindred spirit. I'm no good at doing these. May, just may try and tackle next week but I have a lot on my plate to finish up.

Trying to work up the courage to try Marianne's card. Fully intended to do them at the beach so when I would break down in tears, there would be a room full of people to come rescue me.

So at what point do you think I almost gave up on this one? Yep, when I realized I had the yellow applicator and not the pink one. Trust me. Under the layers of lace? Very ugly. The coral distress ink used for the butterfly actually pulled it all together.
