2016 Christmas Cards - January

Kathryn,
I think your design would also be
good as a wedding card, looks
almost like a cake

Yes, it does, doesn't it! I hadn't thought of that, but you're quite right, Elizabeth

Kathryn, your card is very elegant. Clever use of the border punch; I, too, thought 'cake plate'. I have tons of border stickers, probably enough for a whole boatload of cards. Too bad I never get around to making them
Re: 2016 Christmas Cards - January
Okay, I'm feeling a tiny bit guilty, being one of the vocal proponents of this challenge. But in addition to the excess of cards I made for 2015, I finally found the packet of cards I made last year for Christmas. So I believe I already have enough cards for Christmas of 2016. How embarrassing! That being said, I still want to take part in this monthly challenge. However, I can only really commit to one Christmas related card. Therefore, I will try to apply the challenge to a different holiday. In this case this month, I am attacking Valentine's Day. I realize it's a little offbeat, but I've made a Valentine tree. I think it's kind of cute. In the spirit of the challenge, I did make it with scraps on my table from my January Paper Pumpkin kit which I killed today. Unfortunately, I also have an oversupply of Valentines. So I am going to have to find more holidays for which to make cards. On to St. Patrick's Day. Thanks for looking.

Or how about a St. Patrick's Day tree, with shamrocks on it and a crock of gold at it's base?

Or you could use the strips to make a shamrock of sorts? They don't have to be trees - you could make a heart from strips of paper. You could adhere the strips together and punch or die cut hearts or shamrocks (three hearts joined together at the apex will make a shamrock)...
I love your Valentine trees!

Farley has February. I have May. That's the only two months I know about.
I added a "sticky" to Pam's post with the months listed. It's at the top of the list under Swaps, Cards. That should help us find it easier.
