Make 3 postcards with the theme of "gratitude".
Send them to me with 3 first class stamps and 3 mailing labels addressed to you.

They must be FLAT. NO 3-D embellishments. They will be returned to you if they are 3-D.

On the back, leave 3/4" along the bottom blank and 2 3/4" on the right for the mailing address. Add a message, a stamped quote or simply "wish you were here!". Whatever!
SIGN your artwork.

Sign up by 11/7.
Me
Debi D
Farley
Debbie
Gwen
Jen
Pat
Rachelle
Elizabeth (I hope!)

Mail your cards to me by 11/14.

Yes, short notice but it's only three postcards!

What am I forgetting?

I have never done a postcard swap before. I am confused by this:

Leave 3/4" along the bottom blank and 2 3/4" on the right for the mailing address.
SIGN your artwork.

Sorry to be such a dunce but wouldn't the front be where I put my image? And the back could be blank for address. Duh

The front is for your signed artwork.
The back is for a brief message and mailing address. The post office sets the guidelines for where the mailing address goes and the space at the bottom .
I can post a photo of that doesn't help.

I should have said to put your 3 postcards, 3 first class stamps, and three labels with your address in an envelope and mail to me. I will swap the cards and use your stamps & mailing labels to send you 3 cards.

Thank you. So decorate the front only. And write on the back just like a vacation postcard. I think I can do this.

Yes - exactly. If you could see my hands while reading my instructions, it would have made perfect sense!

4 x 6 inches

The machine will accept paper as thick as watercolor paper - not much more than that.

This is a great project for painting & stamping. I did one with a bit of texture paste and it went through just fine. Remember - no lace, ribbon, buttons, chipboard, shells...

Ok, I'll take the plunge and sign up, even though my mojo flew the coop, maybe this will give me incentive to just DO IT! As Farley said, "It's just 3 postcards" right?
