Since our niece was going to Berkeley this morning and there are TWO Blick stores there, I had to go. It was great browsing around the store and touching everything BUT...I didn't know the prices would be higher than online. The colored pencils I bought were the same price in the store as the pencil with shipping online. There were no prices on the pencils so I didn't know until they were rung up.
So I don't see any advantage to going to the store. And Blick's shipping is high so I'll keep ordering individual pencils when I need more from Jerry's Artarama.

Has anyone else had this experience at their stores?

I discovered recently that we have a Blick mini store in Sacramento near our daughter's home. How did that open up without my hearing a word of it? I stopped in last week after Hubby's audiology appointment. Bought a few pencils and pens. Couldn't answer the pricing question. No Zig Cleancoors which is what I was hoping to find.

I have no Blick stores near me, thank god! Or I'd be broke, but good to know it's better to order online!
