Re: Burlap
I have found that burlap doesn't cut well in a die cut machine - the petals tend to fall off.
This is going in Pam's "I Am" challenge, too.

Here's another Prom photo. Allyson's boyfriend, Chase, is in college and this kid wanted to go to Prom really bad since he was a Senior so she said yes and told me if Chase (her BF) didn't like it he would have to get over it!! This boy was in a terrible Rodeo accident a few years ago and nearly lost his leg. They have done numerous surgeries and he has a terrible limp, but at least he still has his leg. Nice kid and I worked with his Dad for many years. Chase went to the Grand March with me and teared up! He told me he was so proud of Allyson doing this for that boy.

Re: Gold rush fever
This card drove me crazy, and almost got tossed, but I fussed with it until it's present state.
I used mega flakes for the gold and silver part.

Re: All the other stuff
Another card that made me nuts...I think my creative spirit has left the house!
This is one of those Paper Wishes "Color Me" papers. I used various blue gelatos for the color, and double stick dazzles with glitter for the 2 butterflies at the top.

Pat - it's a beautiful stamp!
Here's one I did this week. The gold is on the popsicle embellishments.

Re: creating depth and dimension
The banner under the photo is folded with pop-dots under the center section to make it stand up a bit.
Some of you will recognize this sketch from Shimelle's recent class.
This is my 76 year old mama (isn't she beautiful?) and my nephew's daughter (Mom's youngest great-grandchild). Emma is the first girl to be born in my brother's line for 2 generations. Pretty special!

Re: Color Trends
To my eye, these colors fit in the color wave.
All of us (except for Beki who took the photo) in the pool for water aerobics.

Re: All the other stuff
I need a "Scraplifted" thread. I could fill that one up in a heart beat!
This one is lifted from a facebook friend. Can't believe the number of 1 photo pages I do anymore but sometimes the kids just send one photo - often times actually.
This is Mandee & Kenan riding the ferry over to the other side of the sound on a house-hunting trip.

Re: Scraplifted!
Here's one from last night. Scraplifted from (wait for it...) yes, Shimelle - from her Starting Points collection.
Bad lighting but you get the point.

Re: what's old is new again
This LO could also go under the dimension challenge, but I decided to give this thread some love. I'm not one for fancy dinners out, so my back-to-back birthday dinners this year seemed as scrap-worthy as they were delicious. Food photos taken on my smartphone, and being what they are I decided to print them using my new Instax mini printer which I received for my birthday: no computer required! All new/relatively new product with the exception of the Suze Weinberg Beadazzles which I sewed in the transparency pocket - remember those? I apologize for the dull photo, but it'll be weeks before I'm home again during the day.

Re: Gold rush fever
I quite like the current gold trend, and think it's a nice complement to nature/scenic photos. Here's a hybrid traditional/pocket page; a more current alternative to scrapping multiple photos from one event. Not sure if you can read the journaling, which talks about a fox den in one of our city parks between the water and a busy thoroughfare.

Re: creating depth and dimension
Some wonderful dimensional layouts here girls! I decided to try a little depth in digi form for this one. I did a couple of watercolor sketches while we were camping last week and tried to make it look like the drawing was sitting on the easel next to the photo of the same subject. I used the skew and perspective functions in PSE and gave it a fuzzy shadow.

Re: Gold rush fever
Quite a bit of gold on this page. Lifted from a Shimelle page.
Chris' birthday a few months ago. I was happy to get this photo. Both of them avoid the camera like the plague!http://appalachianink.net/2015/09/06/th ... y-witches/
