photo recovery from cell phone?

So sorry you lost your photos Pam. I use Dropbox and have my phone set up to automatically transfer everything to my Dropbox account whenever I have a wifi connection. I'm sure Google Photos has the same feature. I never worry about saving phone photos or having to connect the phone to my computer.

I just got the new Samsung Galaxy s9+ and I LOVE it. Going to sell my perfectly good Galaxy 5 because my family are all iPhone users as well.
