30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE
Re: 30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE
Great stamping and coloring Nancy. NBUS and NBUCrayons? Cool. Good idea trying watercolor crayons. I'm sure I have some buried somewhere plus it's time to get out gelatos also.

Re: 30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE
Okay, here's Day 8 and 9. I didn't do anything close to Kathy's Day 8 but I did color. Today's Day 9 was fun making the repeating background.
For Day 8 I just stamped this simple flower 3 times and colored "watercolor" style with Copics. In other words, I didn't stay in the lines and not much concern for blending. Just slapped the color on quickly, layered onto the polkadot scrap, added sequins (thank you Pam!) and then made this card. The coloring really did take only 5 minutes.
Day 9 was all about making a background with a repetitive design. This is a stamp from Papertrey Ink. I love the Art Nouveau style. The coloring was done with the Zig Clear Color Real Brush Markers (yep, those 5 colors again:). This did not take only 5 minutes. It took forever to color. Not sure now what I will do with this background but it will become a card at some point.

Nice ones, Farley! I'd love to try the background one. I still seem to be stuck on Days 5 and 6. I found something printed to color in so did the Eiffel Tower one for Day 6. It's watercolor, markers and some metallic pens. For Day 5, a new die set I watercolored for journal embellishments.
Re: 30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE
Super work on those repeated shapes Farley, I haven't tried that yet!
Love the idea of coloring the die cuts Marianne!

Re: 30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE
Oh, Marianne, thanks for inspiring me to color die cuts. I have a set similar to yours and I've only ever used them cut out of paper as cut outs. Never occurred it me to color. Of course, I'm not an artist so without lines to follow, it may be an epic fail.
WOWZERS, Farley, that Art Deco makes my head spin. Love the flowers. That's more my coloring style. No blending.

Re: 30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE
Thanks, I might not have thought to color them if it hadn't been on Day 5. This set had just arrived a few days before so I thought I'd give it a try. I can't believe I didn't lose any of the little bits that punched out. That must be an all time first!
Re: 30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE
I tried but since I broke wrist
I can't do it, something about gripping the pencils
I can't control the back and forth either
I'm working on it , it will be part of my therapy this next 6 mos

Wow you two, nice!
Marianne, that panel you worked with is so interesting with that border. I'm not sure what was already there and what you stamped but it's a wonderful collage a la Paris. Great coloring of those dies. I like doing that also.
Nancy, your cards are drop-dead-stunning as always. Those flowers are fabulous. Are they both die cuts? Beautiful.
I did a lot of stamping at my Wednesday craft group but none of it really qualifies for "coloring" other than I did use Distress Inks. One of the ladies brought some stamps to share so I stamped off a bunch. At the rate my day is going, I may have to cheat a little and post them for day 10 AND 11.

Re: 30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE
Beautiful cards, Nancy!
Farley, the card came in some collection of stuff from Peachy Cheap, I think. A lot of the stuff was collages but most were in color. There were only 3 in printed in black on white paper. I did nothing except color it. The one below was also in the kit of stuff. Just black outlines.
The top area is Distress Inks smooshed on a piece of shiny freezer paper and I used a brush to paint the top area and the lacy borders. The bottom area is the Peerless watercolors that Farley gave me at Christmas. This paper was not designed for watercolors so you had to work fast to blend anything. I want to stamp on watercolor paper and then color.

Marianne terrific job on coloring those prints. I think my favorite part of it is the blue at the bottom.
