I'm behind schedule. Too many irons in the fire. Here we go...use varied media to create this sketch. I feel I can do way better on my next try of this. Anyway, I used Shimmer Sheetz for the heart, embossing folder for the orange and purple panel, watercolor paper for the lighter panel with Distress Inks, water and stamps, a circle (always my challenge), fiber and tags.

Use your imagination and try this sketch out.

I've been keeping this sketch simmering in my brain for awhile now, and finally decided to try it!
I used one of Tim's Bird Crazy stamps that I've been playing with then added fun papers from a pad Lucy gifted me last week. The black panel is embossed - not sure that shows up. It's a bit different from the sketch, but oh well! The inside says .... but then I forgot! Happy Belated Birthday.

Oh Nancy, this is adorable. These birds are so cute and playful. Your coloring of the bird is great. My sketches are just jumping off places to get everyone making a card. Your spin on it is delightful.

This is a fun sketch and I really like your cards Farley. I had plans to make some cards this week. Were did the time go?

Nancy - your bright colors are perfect for that stamp.

Hey card makers you still have a few more days to play with this sketch!

I made two more cards using this sketch. One was a quick one with scraps on my messy table and one not so fast.

First the quick scrappy one. Those papers were all on my desk and the "hello" dies were already cut out waiting to be used. They consist of 4 of the same cut, glued on top of each other to make my own custom chipboard word.

Second was not quite as fast but I did have the fan pieces die cut already. I then wrapped each fan in gold thread before layering it onto the fan base with foam dots. What I love about the papers on the fan card is they all came from a 6x6 pad (using my stash!) and the pad was $1 at JoAnns last year! Woohoo.

SIDE NOTE: On the fan card I had 3 of each size of the enamel dots, got them all onto the card but didn't care for the alignment of the smaller ones. Pried one up with a pokey tool and it shot off like a bullet into space! I know not where. Of course I had ONLY 3 of those. Oh well...I guess two works also.

I'd have bought that blue pad of paper, too. Nice designs! Have you checked your elbows for the enamel dot? I find a lot of things there or on my pant legs.

Thanks Jen. All it needs is a Kokeshi doll?

(inside joke...we both have many of those darling dolls and never use them.)
