I belong to my neighborhood Bunco Club. We play every other month. So last night I co-hosted with my friend Judy. She has it at her home, sets up the tables, etc. I do the computer stuff, invitations and of course the name tags. No one else is goofy enough (or crafty) to bother with fancy tags. But of course I can't possibly write names on Hello tags. This is what I ended up with.

For all of you electronic cutter owners out there, I have something awesome to share with you. I love all the die cut words that are out there but I just knew I could do this myself. I wrote out each name with a semi-fat Sharpie on one sheet of cheap card stock, scanned it and then with my KNK retrieved it from the graphics file. I was able to color each name on the computer plus create a colored shadow. Then I printed the names out and let the KNK do the cutting. I am thrilled at how these names turned out. Now I need to set to work creating words and phrases to store in my graphics arsenal. The black tag backgrounds was a free SVG file tag from Bird's Cards (http://www.birdscards.com ) and then I used a Spellbinder's shape for the base. And I used a paper pad that I have never touched in the process! Yay!

The Bunco ladies were thrilled with them.

Oh Wow! They really look terrific. You are going to have everyone asking you to make them all the time.

Thank you! You all are quite capable of doing this with your own handwriting or lettering. Just get several widths of Shapies and brush markers and have at it. Trust me...I went through a ton of scratch paper before I was semi satisfied. Really, if you look at Wilna's writing, it's wonderful but it's not perfect like a computer font. It's your own hand that makes it special.

I think I see a new thread/challenge here!
