Thanks for your kind words, Debbie. THAT would be a cool die cut, wouldn't it?

Layout covering our first day on an adventure in Tucson in March. Papers are from WRMK Jet Set pad. Dies from Technique Tuesday. Stamps from Go Story Stamp set from Ali Edwards. First time doing my journaling old skool on my recently returned Smith Corona. Sketch is the Cantina layout card from Club Scrap. Love it.
Has anyone else besides Pam joined up on Story Stamp?

Re: Ali Edwards Story Stamps
Jen - I love what you're doing with these stamps!
Re: Ali Edwards Story Stamps
Great use of the stamps! The pages are so pretty.
I use bits and pieces of the sets but you're getting your money's worth from them!

Oh, Pam, thank you. But I'm still not telling the stories Ali wants us to tell.
In all honesty, my scrapbooking is more about the photos than the stories but I am doing my best to include some words on my pages. Not being maudlin here, but I know when I'm gone, these books will be tossed in a dumpster. Except Mallory's. I think she will want those.

Re: Ali Edwards Story Stamps
Photos with stories have a better chance of surviving than just photos. And they have to be relevant to the people who are left and will be doing the tossing in the dumpster. My first question is who is Garnet Vogel? how is he related? what did he do? where is that cemetery, etc, etc. Then if you aren't careful, it turns into a family history project.

Re: Ali Edwards Story Stamps
I agree with you Marianne! Roots is something we all have and work with in various ways. Some of us are really deep into those "roots" and will never, ever finish.
Jen those are wonderful pages. I wish I could visit my parents grave site more often.

Garnet is actually a she. Odd, eh? My hubby's mother who passed in 1977. She was a stay at home Mom. I only knew her for about a year so I can't say I knew much. East Lawn is one of the older cemeteries in Sacramento.

What I meant was, the info needs to be on the page or on an adjacent page so anyone will know as much as you or your husband knows.ScrappinJen wrote:Garnet is actually a she. Odd, eh? Those colors really go well together Jen. I love that you get those photos. Families can be so difficult at times.
