Here is my first card challenge for all of you. Quite simple for starters. Any type of card but you must use one of the Gelli prints you received in our swap/or make you own background. You must also use ribbon and punches/Nesties on your card. Here is my sample for starters, and my background is one from Hope.

So now it is time to add a 2nd challenge here. A little more tricky but really not hard. This card is to be a Stand Up Card and here is the link if you have not made one before. You also have to use one of your Gelli plate backgrounds and I want layers. 4 layers plus the base card. My card is a print from Christy.

I can hear you all now... what?!?

This class is all about using wood. One of my current go-to items is my (ever-expanding) collection of wood shapes. You could also use a wood grain embossing folder, wood grain cardstock, or wood-themed patterned paper. The challenge is to use wood on your project!!

Here's a look at my collection of wood shapes:

This will be a series of challenges to use up those supplies you have and stretch those creative muscles! You must use at least two of the following items on a one or two page, paper or digital, layout for this challenge.

Challenge #1!!!
Challenge list:

Brads or eyelets
Tags... traditional shape or a different shape but must be recognizable as a tag
Decorative tape
Fibers
Alpha stickers/Thickers
Stamped image
Circles
Diecuts

Here are some samples:

Challenge #2!!!

The wheels on the bus go round and round.... otherwise known as the "wheels" page! Your page needs to have at least one wheel for the challenge. It can be in the photo or part of the elements. Circles by themselves do not count.... it must look like a wheel and not simply circular. ;)

Challenge #3!

Trends and must-haves.... If you're like me there are some items in your stash that you picked up because you had to have them, but they are hiding in a dark corner neglected and possibly still in their original packaging. Time to dig them out and use them on a project! It can be anything from consumables to tools... if you 'had to have" it and it hasn't been used, then it's fair game! I'm going to dig thru my 2 embellishment drawers to see what I can use on some layouts this weekend (and likely purge a few things in the process). I also plan to dig into that drawer of MS border punches that I needed and haven't used. And don't get me started on the washi tape  ... I have used some of that though; just need to take pictures and post!

Thanks ladies, we went to NY to visit my aunt and her family and my other aunt came from MN. I enjoyed our visit greatly.

Here is another LO of my little family from the same photo shoot.

Oh, your layouts are so cute, Jenni, especially the great photos of your own family.

I'll put these in here since they are kind of hard to categorize anyway.
Four little notepads I made for one group of house exchangers. I found a pile of 3.5 x 5" note paper at the other house and knew I could use it for something. Photos are from backyard and around the neighborhood printed on matte photo paper.
And, yes, that sunrise in the trees was that color. No photoshopping!

I finished this one tonight. It's from our family photo shoot in Oct. 2012. This will go in my DS Alex's book. I used alpha stickers for the title and the heart and center pieces are die cuts.

In addition to cleaning screens, blinds, windows, rooms from top to bottom, yard work and laundry, this was on my to-do list this weekend. I've had an old kerosene heater forever. When we lived in Illinois it was in my yard, but since moving here, it's just been sitting in the garage. Then I saw this one at thepolkadotcloset.blogspot.com and knew what I had to do.

And after. I just placed an old sterling silver tray on the top and can switch it out as I like. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.
