JFFB Free Stencil Classes

I've been following Julie Fei Fan Balzar's free stencil classes this week. It's a good review for those of us who have been stenciling a long time and great for beginners like my friend, Wendy.
Here is the link to the first one. She is doing 7 days which began on Monday:

They are at all different times, today's is at 10 pm, so people from all over the world can catch them live. Then the next day the videos are on Julie's blog along with the samples she did.

Wendy and I got together yesterday afternoon for some stenciling. I haven't played on tags for a few years and some of these had old experiments on them for a first layer. These are the tags I did:

Is anyone else following along?

The classes are FREE, about 45 minutes to an hour long and are running for 7 days, ending on Sunday
so I am surprised that more people aren't checking them out. The previous ones are available to watch from her blog.

Great series - if you want some pointers or just a refresher on what you can do with your stencils, definitely check these out. I still have one to go, but here's what I did after watching. For the peacock feathers I used my old chalks and an eraser as I don't own any pan pastels, which is what Julie used. The lotus blossoms use acrylic paint; hopefully you can see the shading where I mixed my colours.

It was a good series of classes and you even learn a lot from reading the chat along side of the classes. A Facebook fan group formed during the chat, Balzer Fans Unleashed, too.
