February 2014 Card Sketch Challenge
February 2014 Card Sketch Challenge
As usual, I'm taking the easy way and using the current week's sketch from Operation Write Home. I haven't yet made my card so one of you quicksters can get one up before I do. Now it's time to join Hubby in the den. Hope you are all having a great weekend.

Very cool, Pam. I fear I'll be the last one to post a card this month.
Farley and Nancy and I are getting together this weekend and all my energies are going to prepping and packing, etc. for the weekend of crafty fun with my fellow Squirrels. Cards must wait.

Cheryl, more beautiful purple Wisteria cards. Love them.

Sue, I apologise. I don't know how I missed your lovely card but it deserves comment. Very very pretty.
I fear I am a bad example for all of you. I have made my focus in 2014 on scrapping rather than card making. I made cards primarily in 2013 and I feel I'm falling way behind on my scrapping. It is my first love. I am lured by cards because (sometimes) I can get something finished in a short period of time whereas with scrapping, I labor on and on.
Anyway, I hope my apparent lack of interest hasn't influenced you card makers. The month is drawing to a close and I doubt I'll get a card up but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try.

You can always pass the card challenge off to someone else, Jen, if you are going in a different direction this year. We can all understand that. You don't have to feel like you're stuck with doing it.

Krikies! I haven't made a card yet. I promise I'll get one done before the month is over.

Nothing like skidding in at the 11th hour. I do that a lot. But tonight, with all the rain we've had the last few days, it came to me that I wanted to do a card with umbrellas. Darn…I don't have any umbrella stamps. But wait…there's a zillion umbrella images on the internet. So wow…I found just the one, downloaded it…it was free… and voila, I was able to cut it out on my KNK on patterned paper plus add a shadow cut for behind it and use an adorable stamp that a very good friend gave me (guess who…Jen!) for the big raindrop background. LOVE that stamp. Love my KNK too. And I even kept to the sketch!!! Thanks Jen…fun, fun sketch as you can see by so many awesome cards submitted this month.
