This will work with any detailed die cut and has probably already been discussed but while playing with these new doily dies I realized that I could use washi tape to remove all those tiny bits. It didn't take all of them out but it sure beats using a pokey tool over and over. I still had to poke some of them out but the tape did most of the work.

the fancy dies for that very reason, I don't
want to be spending a lot of time poking out

Great idea. I expect you could do this with any low-tac tape, but for those who have been talking about having an over abundance of Washi tape this is one way to use it up.

Did you try the non-stick aluminum foil? Judy told us about it at re-create - it works wonders! Just put a layer of it in your sandwich (next to the paper obviously) and it pulls all those bits out. Several of us went to the grocery that day to buy some.

Pam, refresh my memory. The sandwich would be paper, foil then die? I will look today for some of that foil.

I would think any repositionable tape (painter's tape?) would do the job as long as it doesn't tear up the die cut when removing the tape.

I forgot to mention that I also use the tape to remove the die cut from the die when it's stuck. That's how it came to me to use it for the bits.

I went out and bought a roll to use for this purpose. Got home and realized I already had a roll. Now I am actually using it to cook with. What a novel idea!

I also use wax paper for this purpose. But the foil is an excellent tip, too.

I just take a small strip and tap away until it's full of the bits and then take another small strip if necessary. Kind of like how I used to use standard wide masking tape to de-cat hair my black pants, LOL.

The non-stick foil worked much better than waxed paper. I think we put the non stick side on the paper?
