What time on the 20th?

oy Marianne…is there a time you prefer over another :tomato:

I hadn't even thought that far in advance. I'm still trying to convince the kids to put Christmas off say a month or 2. I'm a wee bit behind on things right now.

Hummm.....I'll have to think about it. Trying to fit it into my busy schedule, you know! Tossing that tomato right back atcha :tomato: I can't remember what we did last year but I think everyone just opened when they had time. Like one minute after they woke up in the morning, washed their face and brushed their hair like Debi!

Christy, sounds like you need to declare a Christmas amnesty. That was today's prompt on Journal Your Christmas. Make a list of what basics really need to get done in the next week and let the rest of it go.

oh please…I hit that point 2 weeks ago.

Ordered Christmas dinner (reheat and serve, not what I might normally make but change is good, right?) I'm not baking, not decorating (except a tree and the lights outside which is Steve's fun) and minimal shopping.
It's the day to day along with all the house guests that seem to be never ending right now.

blah

I also love how you don't see people all year and suddenly with one week before Christmas they HAVE to see you, plus all the stupid stuff the hospital does that Steve HAS to go to and HAS to bring a spouse

LOL but I was thinking I post in the morning and then everyone opens as their schedule allows 8-)

For those people you don't see all year and who have to see you now, I would say 'sorry, we are booked out now, how about the 3rd weekend in January when we can relax and have time to visit?'

My SS's box is finally going out today! With my abject apologies - I outed myself to her so she'd know it would be late.

Moral to this story - order EARLY!

Of course, you'd think November 15 would be considered early!

Gwen, I forgot to tell you. Turn it upside down before you open it. The shipping label is actually on the bottom of the box. What can I say? I'm seriously challenged right now.
