Pam, that is beautiful and despite the printed papers and all the product, the focus is still on the photos. It's just lovely!
Funny, I was looking at the BG newsletter and wondering if I could find some inspiration for the challenge, too. You certainly did!!!

Pam - I love the LO. It's sweet, girly, and doesn't overpower the pictures.

Love the layouts, ladies!!
Ruth Ann, where did the bird (peacock) on your LO come from???? Was it cut from BG paper?

No, it's actually on the paper itself.....

Pam, your LOs are wonderful. Sappy is good! The snow LO is my favorite of the two.
Christy, what did Shai think of her LO? It's not my style either, I'll admit, but I bet a teen would love it. Ryleigh's is really cute!
Dani, I'm with you on avoiding Chuck E Cheese. Cute LO, though!
Ruth Ann, I absolutely love your LO. That pink bird is great!
Kathryn, using that paper with Utah photos never would have occurred to me. Good job! The sheriff's star is a perfect touch.

Re: February 2009 Monthly Scrapbooking Challenge
Here's my entry. I normally don't use distress/grunge, I rarely use different background papers, I don't use a lot of embellishments and usually don't put photos on an angle. But I'll admit I'm fairly happy with the result. Thanks, Marianne, for the push.
The LOs are quick pages from the February Scrapper's Guide kit. The quick pages had to be put together sort of like paint by number. It made me learn more about PSE, which is good. The title is my attempt at faux embossing.

That's a good thing right?
Re: February 2009 Monthly Scrapbooking Challenge
Beth those layouts are wonderful. They may be out of you comfort zone but you made it look like you were right at home doing them
Re: February 2009 Monthly Scrapbooking Challenge
I really like them, too, Beth! The grunge makes them more masculine even with the hearts, etc. glad you had fun with the challenge!
Re: February 2009 Monthly Scrapbooking Challenge
The grunge looks really good Beth. I think you're very brave!!

Thanks, everyone. I forgot to give credit for DD Kriste taking the photos. She loves to take photos and works to improve her photography.
