Once upon a time Marianne and I were Quilting friends. When I first visited her she would take me shopping to JoAnn's to buy fabric. Then one fateful day she showed me her scrapbooking!! And then took me shopping for my first album, papers, and all the other stuff. I found this fancy heart stamp in a Sale bin, the first stamp I ever bought, and I have used it a lot on layouts and cards. The little red flower is cut with my newest toy, a Cuttlebug. This is a little German town we stayed in one night on our way to Austria.

Marianne what a cool photo to use for your layout. Draws you in and really makes you study it.

Kathryn I love the houses in your lo. Each one is it's own little work of art isn't it. I like the story even better though. Marianne is an enabler in the truest form

That's very true, Christy. Marianne has enriched our lives in many ways.... Or you could say she's got a lot to answer for!!

Kathryn, that heart stamp is beautiful. I envy you for having such a wonderful introduction to scrapbooking. Your LO is great, too. It makes me want to be there.

Thanks, Christi, Pam and Beth!

and Kathryn, I think! A lot to answer for, hummm....I hope that is good, my friend! :happy94:

Actually, it continues to amaze me how our hobbies enrich our lives in so many ways. We could never have imagined it when we started out. My latest example of that is I just spent the weekend in South Carolina with members from another online group. Our hostess was Pam from Firecracker Designs by Pamela, http://www.firecrackerdesignsbypamela.com She opened her home and studio to about 11 of us for 4 days. Most of us knew each other from the old CSChat and many of you would recognize their names. What a great time we had-stamping, eating and laughing! I'll post some of the things we did eventually.

I wish I had had the time to visit so many of you from this group who are down that way-next time!

Only a few more days to get your August entries done!
And it's a rainy weekend, at least here in the East, so that's a good excuse to stay in and scrap.

Marianne - you probably drove right by me, too!
I wondered if that was the same Pam...

Kathryn - what a great story! Love the layout and the stamp is really pretty.

Pam, I can't keep all the cities in NC straight. We went down 81 and 77. I need to see where all of you are on a map!

Oh, Christy, now I see where you are and Pam, too. I was in Lake Wylie! But you were up here in the mid-Atlantic while I was there. I'm putting you all on a map!

Will I have to set up a Gallery in order to post a layout here? Or can I just grab it off my hard drive to upload? Thanks in advance for any help.
