Great point about buying refurbished, Elizabeth. We do that for all our laptops but never thought of it for printers/scanner.

I'd like to experiment and see if I can coax a slightly heavier paper around the roller at the back if I take off the back door of the printer. But I'm thinking it won't work with the door off. Have you tried that, Farley?

I said I had a HP - it will not pull CS cardstock through
my Epson does pull it through and prints on it

When I was unjamming the paper, I didn't securely reposition that door and it didn't print until I shut it.
