Free classes on scrapbook.com
Re: Free classes on scrapbook.com
I always liked touching all the textured papers and looking at the patterns, I call it "reviewing my stash".
I just got this post from paperclipping this morning. The 5th item reminded me of what we said yesterday-rearrange things to breath new life into them. http://www.paperclipping.com/organizati ... pping-260/

Re: Free classes on scrapbook.com
I just typed my longest post ever and the site deleted it.
Short version - spent three of the most productive hours ever. Purging and reorganizing. Still quite a bit to go but having a written plan made all the difference.
Yay me!!

I'm talking about the last class on the list. Not the scraprack class. I took that years ago.

The scraprack gal was on HSN the other day. I rather thought the scraprack was a thing of the past...
It was selling for$150
Does anyone have this item?
I don't have that kind of space to hold that rack.

Pam C still has one I think.pat-czap wrote:The scraprack gal was on HSN the other day. I rather thought the scraprack was a thing of the past...

Pat, I tried a cheap version years ago just using binders, page protectors and the divided ones for baseball cards or photos. It worked as long as you kept the binders at a slight angle so that the stuff didn't fall out of all the little pockets. I had 3 large binders with everything arranged by warm colors, cool colors and neutrals.
Re: Free classes on scrapbook.com
I have one that I hate! Tried to use it and didn't work for me.
Re: Free classes on scrapbook.com
I do love mine. I think you love it or hate it.
I love that when I need something I just flip to those pages.
Not everything I own is in there but most of it is.

Re: Free classes on scrapbook.com
Years ago I used a Cropper Hopper binder system that had a different mix of page protectors to hold all the items. I got the darn thing as a gift at a crop, but did not use it for all that long. It was heavy and awkward. It just doesn't suit my way of doing things...whatever that may be.

Re: Free classes on scrapbook.com
Yeah, the binders do get heavy so you have to divide the stuff up between several. Eventually I did think they took up too much room but I'm not sure what I do now is any more efficient.

That's how I feel as well, but I do know where things are.mpizzazz wrote:I'm not sure what I do now is any more efficient.

Re: Free classes on scrapbook.com
I would like to bump up this discussion. I just spent the weekend rearranging my whole house. I moved the family room stuff to the living room, rearranged the kitchen, and moved the scrap stuff to the family room. It looks like a bomb went off. I am struggling to organize all my papercrafting material. I am watching the class Pam mentions, but in practice I am struggling. I can't seem to throw much away. How do you get to the point where you can let stuff go? I have paper that is over 10 years old, but it is really pretty. I have older paper I bought to scrap a specific event, but I still have the photos and would use it... You get my drift? I keep talking myself out of it. I don't know why because what I discard I bring to the library. If I change my mind it would probably still be here waiting for someone to use it. This is an older topic. Did you guys finish your purging and organizing? Did you discover the secret? I haven't crafted much in the past few years and I know it is because I have too much stuff. All the decisions overwhelm me. I am open to any suggestions.
