Deer Layout

Post by mpizzazz »

Here is a layout I did in my online class for two challenges: use naked chipboard and scraplift something from a particular layout. I chose to use the word 'deer' and a photo of a deer instead of her 'dear' and paper with deer on it.
Using up a lot of leftover flowers and snowflakes along with some tapes was my focus on this. How often do grey and black flowers seem right for a layout! Photo taken through the window by my work table last February.

We have a wide overhang around our house so when there is snow on the ground they can find little bits of stuff to eat up close where there is no snow. Not to mention the prickly holly bushes we planted because we thought they wouldn't eat them. By the end of winter, they are looking pretty tasty.
When they look up, I always wave so they are used to seeing us move around inside the house. I also talk to them when I am outside. While they aren't really tame, they know we are here and don't hurt them.

Very cool page! My Mom talks to the deer in her yard too - so they aren't too scared! Yesterday they got into the fenced pool area and ate her tomatos!
