You guys are so sweet! I know Mom is going to flip when she gets these cards! I certzinly appreciate all of the hugs, prayers and kind wishes. But to quote a wise person----"this too shall pass--like a gallstone!!"

I just got off of the phone with my Mom, and she sounds terrific! (in case you didn't know, I flew to Illinois last weekend, only to find out that Mom had to have emergency surgery for a twisted colon. Due to her health problems, the surgeon only gave her a 0% chance of surviving! HA!!! They didn't know my
MOM!!)
She is fully recovered and doing great. She is extremely thankful for all of the cards that you so generously sent her. She even said that they meant more to her than she thought they would, and pulls them out often to look at. (My Mom and I used to make cards together, so she really appreciates the talent that went into them.) So I wanted to 'officially' thank everyone for the kind thoughts, prayers, and cards. Her strength is back to normal, and she is gaining weight. (she had lost 24 pounds)
