Paper Towels and Naked Chipboard

Post by mpizzazz »

A match made in heaven!! Not really-but this was fun after all that transfer frustration.

Remember when we all did the painted paper towels? I have a pizza box full of them and some were not very nice. Now remember all that big naked chipboard-flowers, swirls, etc-that we all had to have a few years ago? Recently on another group, people were talking about having it hanging around and being too lazy to paint it and use it. That got me thinking about using the big chipboard shapes as masks or stencils and getting it painted with a preliminary coat and at the same time, adding some more designs to the painted paper towels. I used all my Memory and Glimmer Mists.

The big squares are paper towels and the smaller squares are the baby wipes we painted. I used both the positive and negative shapes of the chipboard. Some of them need more work but I think this has potential.

Wow.......I don't know how you all did your paper towels and baby wipes, but I used some color wash sprays and salt on paper towels......maybe I should try this.....

Thanks

I've never had any luck with salt but I have seen great examples of it in books and in person. What kind did you use? Did it work ok? Anyone?

Thanks for the comments.
