I'm really enjoying the Deck of Art challenge and have been thinking about how to display my finished work. I came across these fans and decided they would make a good altered project to hold my whole deck when it's finished.
I painted one white and one black; then stamped the CS Games card stamp in black on the white one and white on the black one. I filled in the suits with an embossing pen and embossed with Red Dragon and Marcasite EPs. I glued tiny clothes pins to each rib of the fan on the back. There are 25 on each fan and room to display a card in the center for the 26th, so half a deck of cards will fit on each fan. I also made a shrink plastic charm for each one out of the Games stamp and wired it on with some beads. This disguises the wire used for the hangar on the back.
I may add the title Deck of Art, but I haven't figured out how I want to do that yet.

It's not a wonder that you are one of my favorite artists. You never cease to amaze me with your inovative ideas. This is just gorgeous and could be displayed anywhere. I love it!
