Sunday from my boat (added Monday's pic)
Sunday from my boat (added Monday's pic)
I hope you all in cold country won't hate me too much. Today we met up with one of our paddle groups for an easy paddle at Delta Meadows. The cranes, herons and egrets were in abundance. As usual, I'm never in any of these photos but these are typical views from my kayak.
(I didn't want to hijack Dani's gorgeous photo from her weekend...don't miss that one)

Wow! Those are beautiful pictures. What a great weekend. It's been cold and raining here. A little warmer than yesterday, but cold.

Oh Farley - what a great week-end to be out kayaking! We had our doors and windows open today - it was that warm here (upper 60's)..........

The weekend wasn't over yet. Today DS's HS marching band was the lead in the MLK Day Parade! They marched, drummed and played over 3 miles. DH and I tagged along for the whole fast paced walk. It was another beautiful day to be outside. DS is the tall one with the trumpet.

yeah for the band! When my daughter did parades (she was a baton twirler - not in a band, in a baton group) I always felt like marching when I heard the bands!
And... following your group along the parade route is GOOD exercise!

Was it ever! When I finally got home and had some lunch I flopped into my easy chair and went out like a light. DS is tired but had a great day too. He said that when they were done and waiting to get back on the bus they had a jam session. Oh youth!nancine wrote: following your group along the parade route is GOOD exercise!

Thanks for sharing this photo! Brings back old memories and yes, even after marching in a parade, we really felt like having a great time playing still. Something about it gets you really pumped up and makes your heart sing!
Take care,
