July 2023 Scrapbook Layout Challenge

This heat is really getting to me. I’ve decided to post the challenge and hope I get my layout done this weekend. That’s the plan.

Your challenge is to use 3 of these 5 items.

A stencil
That paper from your scrap bin. You know the one. You love it so much but for some reason pass over it.
Images cut from a patterned paper
Fibers
This sketch

And I posted the wrong photo.

After I laid this all out, I decided to use one of my stencils to add the brown splatter look behind the embellishment clusters and then I put the fibers on top of that.
The paper from my scrap bin is the strip down the middle with the ferns.
The butterflies I cut out from another paper added nothing so I took them off.
And I used the sketch (obviously).
It felt good to get this completed!

This is a very loose interpretation of the sketch. I also used fibers and cutouts from the patterned paper.

I printed the sketch and made a list of the options. Unfortunately that's as far as I got.

I love using sketches. Sometimes I use only the placement of photos to inspire a layout and other times, I follow the sketch closely. I can see the sketch in your layout!
