The event itself wasn't huge, but my MIL is Scottish (MacIntyre) and she got a kick out of it all. We enjoyed the bagpipes played by four different pipers, and a Celtic band that was a mix of bagpipes, a small straight pipe, a foot drum and a round handheld drum-type instrument, all played by only two men. Lots of people in kilts. I'd have liked to stay longer than we did, but it was triple digits and we were all pretty much done by 1:30.

Bodhran is the name of the hand drum. One of those bits of trivia I have stored away in my brain.
We went to the Games in Red Springs years ago. Don’t know why we haven’t gone back. Joel’s grandma was a Scot. Came here illegally when she was only 3. Her dad was the ship’s captain. He smuggled them in somehow.

Thanks for the proper name, Pam C.! They were great to sit and listen to. Not sure I'd love a CD as much, but live I really enjoyed it.

I do love more traditional Celtic music. I love blue grass as well. Both give me all the feels.

Pam, I’ll see what Joel has to say. Would love to meet up with you!
