New Tonic Trimmer

Do we really, really need a deckle edge trimmer?

Maybe if I were going to be creating invitations
and wanted to get fancy.

What would you use it for?

Wellllllll......... I never thought about it before, but........ maybe.
I DO like a pretty deckle edge on cards, and I DO make a lot of cards, and it IS on sale at Scrapbook.com.
Let's just say I'm not going to order it today, but I may think about it.

I don't think I'd use it enough to justify the storage space for it. I'd be more inclined to buy some deckle-edge nesting dies but for now am good with my old deckle-edge deco scissors LOL.

I'll pass on it. If I dig deep enough, I would probably find my deckle edge scissors. The guillotine trimmer gives me the heebie-jeebies (THAT SOUND!).

If it appeals to you and you don't want to deal with lack of storage - Creative Memories has a new paper trimmer with interchangeable blades - one is a deckle edge. I hear rave reviews about it and they sell out pretty often. It's a sliding blade as opposed to guillotine (shudder).

I think of the French Revolution every time I use mine, I read where during their busiest beheadings, they did one every 13 minutes! That being said I love my trimmer! Lol

I have deckle edge scissors which I don't use much as it is. Definitely don't need to spend more money for a trimmer I may never use. It's a pass for me.

If I was actually making cards like I used to 15 or so years ago, I might be tempted. It would definitely be a lot easier than trying to cut a straight-ish line with the deckle scissors! As for guillotine trimmers, I still love and use the Tonic one from CS that I bought years ago...

I too love my Tonic guillotine trimmer. No scare issues for me.

I also have a very old 12 x 12 Fiskars sliding rotary trimmer with interchangeable decorative blades.

I have a guillotine trimmer in 3 sizes and some with sliding blades.
I just bought the new stampin' up one. It scored and cuts and opens to 17 inches.

I've seen ads for $35.00 to 40.00
there might be specials to introduce it.

I use a Carl trimmer with a rotary blade. Purchased a deckle blade a while back. Haven't used it nuich. Might try it with some Christmas cards. Great idea.
