We are staying home Tom isn't much into visiting just yet.

I went to pick up more pictures to scrap but they were having trouble with their machine.

Don't laugh, but I decided to take the easy way out. We went "all American" with our meal. Grilled hot dogs, french fries, apple pie and ice cream. I spent the morning harvesting herbs - this year I have a bumper crop! I do honestly believe that processing thyme is a thankless job for very little pay. There has to be an easier way to get those tiny leaves off of the stems after they dry - maybe just put them in a bag and shake??? Tons of basil, catnip, Greek oregano, English and German thyme. The lemon thyme seems to be taking a bit longer to produce a lot, but next year will be much better. The lemon grass and citronella are both huge, but unfortunately I lost all of the lavender plants because of all of the rain.

If anyone has a bumper crop of squash and zucchini I'll trade for herbs! Might even toss in a stoned cat for nothing.
