Update On Our Move

I've missed playing with all of you, but will be creating from my new and improved craft room soon.

We close (remotely) on the new house next Thursday, the 21st. The movers are here Friday and Saturday. I will fly out to North Carolina on the 26th, my husband will drive, and our things are scheduled to arrive between November 27 and December 3. Please say a little prayer or send good vibes to my husband as he drives across the country and for the weather to cooperate. And for me, as I fly the friendly skies by myself (I DON'T like to fly). I told him that if I have to fly by myself, he'd better part with a good chunk of those frequent flyer miles and book me in first class -- he did

I'm excited about this move and can't wait to get there; however, I'm going to be a mess when it comes time to say goodbye to my son

I will now put our new address in the address list and will check back in after I arrive in NC.

Good vibes and best wishes for a smooth move and transition to your new home. Wish I had advice about leaving a child behind...been there, it's hard. I can still picture in my mind, Eric and I standing in our driveway saying our goodbyes. He didn't live at that home with us, but nearby. Hard none the less. Take care.

I'm so glad for you that you're making the move you hoped for. I do pray it all goes safely and that your flight is exceedingly boring (but luxurious!). Thank goodness it's a short flight!
Soon I'll be asking for all your tips for moving a beloved stash - everything else in my house can stay behind for all I care.
Stay focused on your planned visits with your son. That's what gets me through. As soon as I turn and start walking away, I start planning the next visit. It's brutal regardless - not going to lie to you.

Sue stay brave. I’ve yet to have to say goodbye to my son. I know it will be so hard when that day comes. (He’s lived with us for all his 25 years through college and this last year of law school). You’ll be fine in your flight to NC and I’ll be sending my good vibes with you all the way for you and your husband’s drive to your new home.

We go to Athens, GA which is on the way to Atlanta and actually go near Charlotte. Sometimes we have gone down 81 and 77 to avoid 95. I have a feeling that one time due to bad weather and accidents we had to detour out "your" way. You have a whole new area to learn!

Ray was upgraded to First Class going to LA in September. He said it was very very nice and the food was good. That was on American. I'm sure you will relax and enjoy it!
