I started to ask you what that means and then realized I wrote that,
What I meant (I think) is if your background stamp is a more solid design, ink it up and then spritz with water for that watercolored effect. Spray the inked stamp or spray the paper first. Hope that makes sense.

I sorta followed the rules. I used one background stamp and then I used the background layers of layering stamps. That’s almost following the rules. Do I get points for using stamps that have been languishing in my stash?

Re: 2019 August Card Challenge - One Background Stamp 3 Ways
Thanks to the 100+ degree weather this weekend I’ve been very crafty. So I made two more samples for this Background Stamp 3 Ways challenge.
PamC thanks to you I was inspired by your monochrome challenge for my #2 card. This black and silver card with the aqua glitter balloons was pretty glitzy for me including the balloon strings embossed with glitter as well. But I am pleased with the glitz.
#3 card I used version #7...I inked up the stamp with CP ink, spritzed it and then stamped on watercolor paper. I like the way the wet ink pooled in the corners of the strings. I added Crystal Stickles that turned pink but I’m ok with that.

Pam you get oodles of points for playing and being inventive on your spin of this challenge. The whole idea is to get crafty and enjoy experimenting. You did that in spades. LOVE your cards.

I like how the ink pooled as well but how did you color the word? Or was it cut from paper with that shading?

I blended two CP inks, Flirty Fuchsia (which strings are stamped in) and Aquatini to make those 3 colors and then die cut the word through the 3 colors.
As usual, my photography doesn’t let the sparkles show up much nor the shine of the silver paper I used on the black card.

Okay! It’s so pretty. I tend to only use black or white. I need to remember this.

Love your samples, Farley! The blending of two inks to make a third is a great technique I've been using for years and sometimes forget about.

Third card front using the layered stamp set I used on two of of others. Now I feel like I’ve met your challenge properly.
