Belated Christmas Gifts
Belated Christmas Gifts
These are Tea Bag Dispenser Boxes for the ladies in my crafting group. I missed the actual Christmas party a few weeks ago and tomorrow is my first chance at seeing them all. Plus it’s the birthday of one of them tomorrow so yet another gift which will be a GC.
These boxes are an SVG from Lori Whitlock. I had a variety of doodads to decorate the tops with. I think those handles came from a CS kit of long ago. Those blobs on top in the first photo are carved turtles.

Oh thanks for your vote of confidence everyone! By the time I was done I was thinking these were lame but I was well past the point of no return. Since these ladies are my crafting buddies, I know at the very least they will appreciate the effort. Each one is semi-specialized for the individual.
A side note to my frustration in making these that I know you all be entertained by: I bought the boxes of tea bags first. Then as I was setting up the cuts on the KNK, I quickly realized that the tea bags were way too big for the SVG as it was sized. So that meant resizing all the files collectively larger to accommodate the tea bags. Once I did that, I then realized that a 12X12 sheet of card stock would not begin to be large enough for the main box cut. So a hunt was on to find 12X18 minimum paper. What luck...I found a 12 X 24 multi-colored paper stack at JoAnn”s. Thank you Cricut! Sheesh what an adventure. Standard tea bags would have fit but since I already bought some pricey teas...well, what’s a girl to do?

Oh my goodness - those are adorable! I think I might try to make one for my desk at work. I'm trying to switch to tea as my primary beverage at work because the coffee is so nasty I have to dose it with more creamer than is good for me to make it drinkable. Anyway, I think I'd like to have my tea in something like that.

These are wonderful, Farley! My favorite is the Oriental version.

My friends LOVED their boxes!
Debi I hope you saw there’s a 30% off everything on her site right now through the 13th. Use code JAN2018. I picked up a few and may have to go back for a few more. I used the below card link for the quick birthday card I needed today. It only has 4 parts so it came together really fast using some G45 papers.

PS: If you leave the file as is, the normal small tea bags will fit fine.

Farley - those boxes are absolutely beautiful. I have a Cricut Explore and never use it. I could never get the blue tooth to work and I can't fit the Cricut near my computer. I have to do something about that - LOL
BTW - can I be a friend?? LOL
