Oh Nancy Y...

Post by pat-czap »

I broke down the other day and ordered the Foundations box of goodies from Catherine Pooler.
5 ink pads, 3 stamp sets, 30 card blanks and an acrylic block.
This may keep me entertained for a bit, but I really need to finish the quilt I'm making...

I ran the ink across a piece of paper, and it looks very nice!

Oh gosh, I've actually become an enabler! :cool5:
I think you will love all your goodies, did you watch Catherine's video on her inks?

Tap, tap, tap - to ink up the stamp! Don't smash the stamp down into the pad! The black is really "juicy". Sorry I can't help with the quilt, have you seen my sewing skills?  :wtf:

Nancy, I did watch the video. I'll try to do it the correct way. ;)

I ALMOST Ordered all the inks in her collection, but you made mention of new inks this fall...

I made progress on the quilt, the binding is all that's left. This is a patriotic quilt for Greg to take to the hospital, he is big on all things like this.

That card/ink box sounds like a good thing to take for your time in Columbus. If you can wait that long!

Be sure and post a photo of the quilt.

OK, I had to go look!

How big are the ink pads? I'm looking for small inkpads like the size of Dew Drops or 1" squares that are good to use with bold solid type stamps. Like the oxide inks in a small pad. I did try Judy's Altenew ink pads at reCreate and they were nice but I'd rather be able to buy the colors I want singly rather than in sets.

These are full sized pads, not the small squares.
I'm not sure if she is planning on making the smaller pads.

Marianne, I also bought some Ranger archival mini ink pads...in sets of 4. They are about 1 3/4" X 1 1/2"
