Lagoon Cards
Lagoon Cards
I've been digi only at CS for quite awhile now, but they always seem to put out a must have everything kit during my birthday month. And so, I had to get it all! Must be 'cause I live at the beach.
I did some cards with the old tried and true distress ink techniques and some with the new oxide inks. Don't you just love mermaids?

Re: Lagoon Cards
And one with the Castaway sea turtle. The bottom card background was distress oxides on glossy black. Cool effect, but the ink doesn't dry well on glossy. I came back 24 hours later and still had to use the heat gun to get the ink to dry.

Re: Lagoon Cards
Very pretty! I love that background technique - my attempt wasn't successful but I'm going to keep trying. It's too pretty to give up that easily.

Love those backgrounds!
Re: Lagoon Cards
I hope you don't mind, but I will hijack your Lagoon thread with some of my own cards. Mine are not technique heavy like your beauties mostly because I'm still working with digi only, but I am pleased with the results. Thanks for starting this thread.

Re: Lagoon Cards
Jen, those are beautiful as well!
Rachelle, in your spare time , I'd love it it you could post a tutorial about how you did your backgrounds.

if I had it, there would be a rolling around emogee with his hands slapping the ground.pamcook wrote:Jen, those are beautiful as well!

I tell you what though, I'll take pics the next time I do it so you can see. I need to do some more eclipse cards and they're done the same way so you may get that tutorial sooner than you think.
Feel free to post your Lagoon cards here, the more the merrier.

If we ever needed a new emoji, it would be the very one you described!
