April Challenge #5 - LO Sketches
I love this sketch from Page Maps because it has so many options for photos and embellishments. (Yes, I was the person who didn't like using sketches!) I'd love to see your interpretation of this.
Love the shapes on this one. Time to pull out your punches!
I love the option to get lots of photos on a LO. Could this be a backlash from all of the 1 photo LOs?

Re: Jan/Feb - sketches!
Debbie - thanks for posting your board; I'm always looking for new-to-me sketches that I like.
Picking a favourite is tough - lots of layouts started with a sketch but I couldn't tell you now where they came from. So I thought I'd share one I've used more than once - and when I went looking for the layouts I found five of them! Apparently I like this sketch a lot This is a Valerie Salmon sketch from an old class of hers - don't send the scrapbook police after me, okay?
First 2 layouts: Toronto Zoo and Chocolate Factory Tour in NB (this is the album I'm working on finishing)

And the rest: Rotorua in NZ, and two from Disney World.

Re: Jan/Feb - sketches!
I've posted this before, but I use the sketch often. When you find something that works, you use it!

This thread is getting me in the mood to scrap a little.
I think this is my all time favorite - it adapts so easily.

Re: Jan/Feb - sketches!
Okay, as I said over in the January sketch thread, I realize this is cheating a bit. But I don't work as fast as you gals and never seem to get anything finished and posted before people lose interest. So I made this layout using Pam P.'s go-to sketch. I will have the photos and journaling on Tuesday and will re-post once they are fastened down. This is the right side of Mallory's engagement layout and serves also to help finish off Love Ink which I adore but I'm just ready to move on to something else. So forgive me for posting layouts sans photos.

Re: Jan/Feb - sketches!
Okay, I have put some clothes on my naked layout.
Papers are from Club Scrap's original Love Ink, heart locket dies from The Stamps of Life and stamps from Ali Edwards Story Stamps. Thanks for looking.
By the way, I have a request for advice. I printed Mallory's story via text messages as they appeared on the phone. But the blue doesn't really mesh well. I also prepared a version in sepia. Should I go with what is true to life in 2015 or use the more artistic one??? Whaddya think?

Re: Jan/Feb - sketches!
My favorite sketches are the ones that help you create something interesting and balanced when you are stuck with all horizontal or all vertical photos. The one Pam P. posted is a good example of the vertical ones. Here's a horizontal one.
Years ago, Kathryn's husband, Brian, scanned some slides for me including these. I had prints made and they have sat around for several (!) years. Finally scrapped, 26 years later. From left to right, Ray and I, our Airedale, Puggles, my stepfather and my Mom. Christmas 1988 about 2 weeks before Robin was born.
I've used this simple vertical one several times
And here is a layout I finished this morning using it.
