This weekend

Post by troublesmom »

We had our granddaughter Paisley (4) all day Friday and I helped her make 2 Christmas cards. Then later in the day she wanted to "stamp" again so I did one small tag showing her how to do it and she took over and did 8 on her own. I totally didn't get photos of her doing them but I did get a couple of photos of her using Stickles on the envelopes for her Christmas cards. She stamped the snowflakes on the bottom. We then went outside and gathered some pine cones, brought them in painted them with gesso, sprinkled them with glitter and left them to dry. She wanted lots of colors on her pine cones. I just sprayed them this morning, will put ribbon on them for her. She was excited to show mom & dad what she did. I had told her soon she & Peyton (her brother) can help me decorate my snowman Christmas tree. She said no to having Peyton help.

The one envelope has more snowflakes because she dropped the stamp - we needed to fix the spot.

That's cute, Cheryl, and so much fun! You'll be finding the glitter for months.

I thought that twas funny also Christy. This is the first time she spent that much time with us without her brother or either of her parents. I got her at 10:30 am and didn't take her back to mom until 4:30 pm. She did great but was ready to leave. For sure she wore me out. I know why God gave children to younger women.

It's really good for siblings to have one on one time with grandparents and other relatives. Makes it more special!

That is why I'm thinking it will be her alone and Peyton alone. I have 7 trees so there is not a problem for them to each do a tree. Actually Peyton could help Joe put up the train set.
