Blackened Canvas Class

My AA (Altered Art) group wanted me to teach them the Blackened Canvas technique and today was the day. We all prepped a piece to the point of being ready to paint it black the first time and brought them to the meeting today. Unfortunately, I forgot to grab the camera on the way out the door today, so I can't show you all of theirs, but I got mine finished when I got home. Everyone got to the point where they were ready to put their picture and quote on.

The picture is of my grandma and me in 1970 on a camping trip at the beach. Think I'm going to give it to my mom for Christmas.

It was really strange too, I had printed out 5 or 6 generic people on the beach pictures to try out in the focal spot and had one all picked out and then it just clicked in my head that I had this picture of my grandma and I from 40 years ago and it went perfectly.
