this one we froze 20 oz filets (10 of them) and we had some bbq'd last night. I boiled down the backbone for fishstock and kept that cooked meat for a cioppino tomorrow. We'll take the crab traps with us tomorrow so we can have crab for that. We went out today, but didn't get anything, although we saw 3 other boats catch fish, so the bite is definitely on.

Well, my brother in law must be the lucky charm for us 'cause the boys hooked up several times today and landed two Coho. An 8lber and 10lber; the smaller one was a female and I just finished up making caviar from the roe. Oh boy we're having salmon for dinner.

I wish George would eat fish. He loves to catch them, tho.

Enjoy! Glad you're finally catching!

You make your own caviar, too? You are amazing. And those are some yummy looking fish. Enjoy!

What a great catch! I love fish roe. We used to cook it with eggs. YUM! Your sunrise photo and layout are beautiful.

Beautiful fish - and a nice layout, too!

Wild caught salmon is pricey over on this coast - and still worth every penny IMHO. I try to have it once a week, it's just so good!
