My two small angels

Post by photocatseyes »

My two grandbabies. I have been experimenting with Mica which leaves a light shimmer on the pages. I also got myself a pen with nib. Remembering how often I got punished in school for making spots on my pages. Catching up on pen writing 45 years later. Better late then never. I find that your handwriting totally changes when writing with an oldfashioned pen with nib. I also love the smell of the ink... Call me crazy!

Thank you so much ladies. I worked some more on it last night and went along the writing with a white sakura pen and it looks more finished now. It's always trying to find a balance between finished and add another element that ruins the whole page. lol. But then again: there is always gesso. In fact, the writing side has been done twice because the first one got messed up just with adding that one thing that I did not like. So I covered it up and rewrote and looks better then the first go! Thank you all for the replies. I had forgotten how good it feels to share what you do with a group.

I like writing with a nib pen, too. It slows me down and my writing changes dramatically. Have you tried the PITT pens? (Boy did I get a deal on them last week!) Or maybe a Rotring pen? Donna Downey found the Rotring brand in Europe - maybe it was in Germany?

These pages are so cute! Very whimiscal - and the colors are fun. Beautiful faces!
