Four of Spades-Metal 2/9/2011 Theme Explained

The Deck of Art challenge is where you use old playing cards as a base for altered art. Once card is chosen per week, with a theme, and results are posted here.

Four of Spades-Metal 2/9/2011 Theme Explained

Post by mpizzazz »

I'm picking a card then there is only one remaining. Someone pick it please.

Use the 4 of Spades with the theme of metal either as metal decoration on the card or as the subject of the card.

Edited: I'd like to clarify this a bit more. When I say subject of the card I mean something metal that you might want to do a card about like a car or other vehicle, a ring, whatever...........as long as it is metal.

This is our last one? Good grief! I'm half a deck behind.

Always knew that I'm not playing with a full deck!

I was just thinking about this the other day. I think I'm about 10 cards behind (not as bad as some people) and I'd really like to get it finished up. Thanks for resurrecting it.

I haven't worked with metal very much, so I just started building with no plan in mind. I layered three pieces of metal that I had put through the cuttlebug and colored with alcohol inks, a piece of embossed cardstock I found laying around, a T. H. Fragment, a sticker and some suede cord.

I chose metal itself because I love metal embellishments. I used a TSS plate on their brown metal. Then I filled the little spaces with metal stuff from my junk container.

Every time I go somewhere to spend some crafting time, I print out a list and vow to make a few.

Beautiful interpretation of the theme, Marianne. You're really rocking these!
